Jeg sendte en mail og fikk følgende svar:

My name is Amanda Petersen, and I am an engineer on the Dunbar Oil platform in the Northen Sea. My husband and I purchased the Norwegian apartment that you are interested to rent because we love Norway and it's landscapes. My husband has been deployed to Irak and I will be working hard for the next year so we will not be able to use our apartment and we decided to rent it, we hope to find a good and responsible tenant for it. If you are planning to rent for more then one year, it's not a problem, because we can give it for rent for as long as you need.
Because we are unable to show you the apartment in person we decided to use a multinational rent service, provided by Yahoo! Real Estate - I am using their services since 2007 and I am very pleased with what they offer to their customers  (In Norway, Yahoo Services are recommended by Aftenposten and FINN). This way you will have a 10 days period when you can inspect the apartment and then decide if you want to rent it or not (Just like you are renting from someone local - If you will not like the apartment you will receive your money back with no questions asked).  This seems to be the best option considering our situation, I am pleased to know that the rent money will be in their possession. We will use a standard tanancy contract, according to the Norwegian federation of house owners and the Norwegian law.
The rent is 6600 NOK / Month with everything included (electricity, water, heating, + 2 parking spaces). I want to receive 2 months in advance (13200 NOK total, as first rent payment). The apartment it's fully furnished but can be rented unfurnished also, you can deposit my furniture and everything you will not use in the building storage area. If you don't want to rent it right away, I can reserve the apartment for you without any problems.
If you are still interested, please give me more information about you, your job, references (if available). I am waiting for your reply and to give you more information about the whole rental process."

Det høres for godt ut til å være sant, så jeg er helt sikker på at det er det (for godt til å være sant, altså).

  3. jeg fikk også akkuarat samme mail bare annet beløp,(aker brygge 7800mnd og 15600 i depositum) virker ganske usansynelig har ikke fått noe svar tilbake.

    After reviewing all the details and all the emails I've received I decided that you are perfect to become my tenant and I will be more then happy to be your Landlord. As I told you before I want to use the Yahoo! Real Estate rental program to rent the apartment , here you can find more information about how everything works Yahoo! Real Estate Rental Terms (please read the terms in order to see if you agree). They are already in the possession of the keys and they will take care of everything on my behalf.

    Here is how everything is handled (according to the 5 steps from the yahoo terms):

    (Step 1) You decide that you want to rent the apartment and you send be your full name / birth day date and an address where you want the keys and contract to be sent. Then I will forward all the information to Yahoo! Real Estate Company and they approve the transaction and contact you with the confirmation. A bank account is assigned to our transaction.

    (Step 2) You deposit 15600 NOK (first 2 months) to the assigned bank account, and Yahoo! Real Estate will lock the payment on your behalf (only you can unlock the payment). Upon payment confirmation the shipping of the keys/contract is started. By paying you are not committing to anything, you are just respecting a policy of an abroad rental company. The money that you pay are 100% refundable, no questions will be asked if you request a refund at any time.

    (Step 3) After the payment will be confirmed and locked in Yahoo! Real Estate custody the shipping of the keys/contract will be started and in 5 days you will receive the package.

    (Step 4) After you receive the package you have 10 days to inspect the apartment (you will not be charged for the 10 days). At the end of the 10 days you decide if you want to rent it or not.

    (Step 5) If you want it, you sign the contract and fax it to Yahoo! Real Estate representative, and then instruct Yahoo! Real Estate to release the funds to my bank account.
    If you don't want to rent it, you return the keys and you receive your money back in 48 hours. No questions will be asked, you will not be charged for the return of the keys.

    I hope everything is clear, and I am waiting for your email with the requested information from above (full name , birth day, and delivery address). After receiving the information from you, I will contact Yahoo! Rent Program and start the transaction with you as my tenant and as the intended receiver of the keys. Everything is prepared, the transaction will be started same day when I receive the information from you.

  6. Leiligheten jeg fikk svar fra er i Tønsberg, og jeg begynner å bli ganske sikker på at det er en form for lureri. Etter at jeg sendte dem et svar på den første e-mailen fikk jeg et svar der samme e-mailen kom igjen, men fra en annen avsender. Jeg hadde ikke gjort noe uten en telefonsamtale i alle fall. Betale depositumet og krysse fingre og tær for at nøkler og kontrakt ender opp i postkassa virker alt for risikabelt for min del i alle fall.

  7. ja det er helt sikkert, er ganske stor risk å betale 2mnd depositum uten å faktisk se eller snakke med denne personen over tlf. De må jo være ganske rik hvis de faktlisk har en leilighet i Tønsberg og på Aker brygge, skulle vel tro at de kunne gjort det litt anderledes. Vet jo ikke om hun dama har sendt denne mailen til mange og får inn masse penger og svindler eller faktisk er redelig. Men virker veldig mystisk. Men har hun dama skrevet noe mer til deg?

  10. anonsen ble fjernet fra finn med en gang! Så jeg er ganske siker på at de skjønte at det var fake. Eller kan dere finne tilbake til anonsen på finn? Håper virkelig at ingen a dere er dumme nok ti å betale før dere har sett leiligheten. For alt dere vet kan dere plutselig få nøkkelen til ei rønne..

    Dette er et tilfelle av såkalt ”Nigeriasvindel", hvor noen finner epostadresser/telefonnummer på nettet og forsøker å lure folk til å sende fra seg varen uten å ha fått betalt, misbruke kontoinformasjon eller bedrive sjekksvindel. Vi anbefaler at du ikke har videre kontakt med avsenderen, men send oss gjerne en kopi av den første e-posten du mottok fra vedkommende (dvs. den med blå FINN-ramme) slik at vi kan få lagt inn tekniske sperrer for å forhindre at vedkommende tar kontakt med andre annonsører.

    Økokrim kjenner også til dette problemet og ser gjerne at du videresender e-posten du har mottatt til desken.okokrim@politiet.no . De har dessverre ikke kapasitet til å besvare alle henvendelsene, men tar vare på dem for bruk i etterforskningen. De har også mye nyttig informasjon om de ulike typene svindelforsøk og eksempler på brevene. Ta gjerne en titt på http://www.okokrim.no/ for mer informasjon.

    Vi har utarbeidet en del tiltak som skal hindre at slikt forekommer på FINN, blant annet skjuler vi epostadressen i annonsen, så det ikke skal være mulig å bruke såkalte "roboter" for å sende ut slike brev til mange personer på en gang. Vi har også kontrollmekanismer som skal forhindre at slike e-poster når våre brukere, og jobber kontinuerlig med å forbedre disse systemene.


    jeg syns at dere burde sende inn den finn anonsen hvis dere har den ennå, for at ikke noen skal bli lurt. Det er en grunn til at alle anonsene er slettet så fort slik at ikke finn skal få mistanke!

This is a service provided by Yahoo Company specially for renting transactions. Yahoo! Real Estate has a big experience in such transactions closed over the Internet and their services are the most recommended for such transactions. I have used their services for different things in the past and I was very pleased with what they are offering to their customers ( In Scandinavia, Yahoo Services are recommended by Aftenposten, FINN.no, Blocket.se and Aftonbladet ). Using Yahoo! Real Estate services, the tenant will have a 10 days period to inspect the apartment and then to decide if he wants to rent it or not. Jag vill precisera att jag kommer från Sverige (båda mina föräldrar är svenska medborgare), men jag föddes i England och bor där sedan födseln. Därför pratar jag inte svenska särskilt bra och jag har svårigheter att uttrycka mig. Jag hoppas att detaljerna jag anger både om tillståndet som bilen befinner sig i för närvarande om villkoren för en eventuell försäljning av bilen är lätta att förstå klart och tydligt.     Bilen är registrerad i mitt namn på den adress där mina föräldrar hade hus i Sverige. För eventuella kontroller, kan du kontrollera bilens registreringsnummer vid svenska myndigheter: XYU 076. Bilen är i perfekt skick, utan repor eller andra skador. Bilen har aldrig varig med i en olycka. Invändigt är den oklanderlig, eftersom jag inte röker och jag har bara använt den då och då, endast för privat bruk. Motorn fungerar perfekt. Besiktningen har genomförts i rätt tid och endast vid auktoriserade verkstäder. (Besiktningsbeviset med alla besiktningsdata är giltig och kommer att överlämnas tillsammans med fordonets övriga dokumentation). Bilens egenskaper har beskrivits i försäljningsannonsen, men om du vill kan jag upprepa dem. Säg bara till i så fall. Jag tror att många av bilens tillbehör samt dess aktuella skick även framgår i fotot i försäljningsannonsen.
    Bilens försäljningspris är 77.000 svenska kronor. I priset är bilens transportkostnad till Sverige inkluderad samt kostnaderna för att registrera bilen i ditt namn enligt svensk lagstiftning. För en eventuell transaktion, föreslår jag följande:
    - Ägarbytet och överlämnandet av bilen i Sverige bör utföras av ett internationellt transportbolag (ett av de huvudsakliga internationella transportbolagen som erbjuder sådana tjänster) med kontor i Manchester, England (jag bor i Manchester och bilen befinner sig i staden). Tjänsterna som dessa bolag erbjuder är mycket säkra för båda parterna, både för säljaren och för köparen. Genom att du använder dig av denna typ av företag, har du möjlighet att kontrollera bilen innan jag får betalningen för den. Företaget överlämnar bilen direkt till din adress på bara 7 dagar. Bilen åtföljs av ett dokument som kallas ”återlämningsförsäkring” (ett dokument som påminner om ett garanticertifikat).     The apartment that you are interested in, I bought it for holidays in Sweden, in order to explore my Swedish heritage. As I said from the beginning, my parents are originally from Sweden and I love Sweden as a country and also it's landscapes. I have decided to rent the apartment because my financial situation is not so good at this time. I also can not come to Sweden in the near future because I just received a new work contract on the Dunbar Oil platform ( I work as an engineer ) and I will be there for at least 8 months per year. Due to my present situation, I will not be able to use the apartment for at least one year and I have decided that it is better to rent it for an extra income. ( to earn some money ). I really hope to find a good and responsible tenant for the apartment. If you are planning to rent for more then one year, it's not a problem, because I can give it for rent for as long as you need.

    Due to my work and also because I can not come to Sweden to show you the apartment in person, I suggest to use a multinational renting service, provided by Yahoo! Real Estate. This is a service provided by Yahoo Company specially for renting transactions. Yahoo! Real Estate has a big experience in such transactions closed over the Internet and their services are the most recommended for such transactions. I have used their services for different things in the past and I was very pleased with what they are offering to their customers ( In Scandinavia, Yahoo Services are recommended by Aftenposten, FINN.no, Blocket.se and Aftonbladet ). Using Yahoo! Real Estate services, the tenant will have a 10 days period to inspect the apartment and then to decide if he wants to rent it or not. Also by using their services, I will not receive any money until you will see the apartment and confirm with Yahoo! Real Estate that you accept to rent it. Yahoo! Real Estate works exactly as an Escrow Company ( If you have never heard how an escrow company works, you can find information anywhere over the Internet about this type of companies / are the most recommended all over the world for any type of transaction ). The renting of the apartment will be done in compliance with Yahoo! Real Estate, with a standard tenancy contract, according to the Swedish federation of house owners and also according to the Swedish legislation. More details regarding the transaction steps I can give you in a separate message ( in case you are interested ) but now I want to give you a few details about the apartment and also about the renting details.
    I am renting the apartment for 5.250 SEK per month with everything included ( electricity, water, heating, + 1 parking space ). In case we understand for the transaction, I want the tenant to pay two months in advance and one month as guarantee deposit ( there will be a total of 15.750 SEK ). The guarantee deposit will be refunded to you at the end of the contract. Also regarding this thing we can discuss latter. Regarding the apartment conditions I can tell you that it's fully furnished but can be rented unfurnished also and you can deposit my furniture ( and everything you will not use ) in the building storage area.
    So, if you are interested to rent the apartment now or for the near future, I can reserve the apartment for you without any problems, we just need to agree for the transaction details. Now to confirm your interest in renting my apartment, please give me more information about you, about your job, references ( if available ).
